HANS W. HUEBNER

Hans W. Huebner was born near Frankfurt, Germany but he is now a full fledged Floridian who is well known as an Investigative Reporter and who has pursued some amazing stories through-out the world, converting some of them into personal crusades.

Hans has covered stories ranging from drug trafficking in Mexico, covering the Falklands War; in Iran he was jailed while covering the hostage crisis and again he was arrested while writing a book with Fidel Castros’ daughter. Hans can also claim to have the first interview made with O.J. Simpson after leaving prison when he was accused of murdering his wife.

Hans likes to be known however for turning some desperate stories into positive endings such as Jake a 22 year old student weighing over 650 pounds who urgently needed a gastric bypass, after his insurance company refused to pay. Hans called several contacts at hospitals he worked with, and was able to convince them to provide the life saving surgery.

The story of a German father whose teenage daughter suffered from anorexia and was desperate to get her treatment at the Montreaux Clinic, he was refused as the Clinic was filled to capacity but somehow Hans; who had interviewed Peggy Claude Pierre the founder; got the young woman in, she is now healthy and has a family of her own.

Hans is also an avid Animal Rights advocate who uncovered a black market operation of illegal sales of exotic animals in Texas, first he rescued and bought a baby tiger call Tristan and found a Sanctuary to take him in; a year later he went back to confirm the Government had closed down the operation to find it hadn’t, he then rescued Maxie a young lion cub who lived in his Florida home until he finally found a sanctuary to take him in.

Hans forte is interviewing people, bringing out the emotions of a situation and telling a story in a compelling way which we can all relate to!
